So close!

WATP: 4miles (=6.4kms!)

A while back I set a goal to walk 40miles. I'm just over 6 short miles away from hitting the 40mile mark!

I can honestly say I've never set a goal before and actually saw it through to the end!

Lately I've been hovering at the 2-3mile mark. Today at the end of the 3rd mile I went on to the fourth. By the end of that 4th mile I was sweating. My muscles were fatiguing. While I wanted to just stop at the end of 3 miles I went on. At the end of every mile they do a two minute boost which consists of gentle jogging. So not only did I step it up to 4 miles in those 4 miles I did 6 minutes of jogging (I didn't do the boost at the end of 4 as I used that as my cool down instead). No I won't be running any marathons anytime soon, but for a self proclaimed lazy butt couch potato 6 minutes of jogging is big.

4 miles again tomorrow, then a turn around the lake on Thurs (weather permitting) and my friends I will have hit 40 miles!
