I don't own a scale. My roomie owns a scale - some digital contraption that requires you enter info into it before you hop on to your demise. I can't make it work. I've tried, she's explained it to me, I just can't make it work.
The lady I am house/pet sitting for this week has a scale. A simple digital one. You get on, the numbers whirl around then display. I hopped on this morning.
I am not pleased.
Working out + eating loads better = no change?
Excellent.
I wasn't expecting a huge change, but a sign that the number on the scale is dropping would be nice.
I guess its time for another diet overhaul. Again.
I'm really not ready to up the working out intensity. I struggled just to get through what I get through. So diet it is. Portion control? Oh you betchya. Thats going to get an overhaul.
Pasta. Oh dear sweet pasta. How I love you. I have recently made you OK again. Unfortunately my friend I love you far too much and just can't have you at my disposal.
Eggs for omlettes will be replaced by egg whites.
Cheese, while I don't eat a lot of you, you've got to go too.
Sugar in my coffee...I think we'll have to part ways as well. Oh how I enjoy your sweetness against the bitterness of my coffee. And I suppose while I'm at it I should probably bid farewell to the coffee whitener too. Its creamy chemical goodness.
Oy.
I wasn't expecting this to be easy but I was never expecting it being this tedious and difficult.
Are you taking measurements as well? Everyone says go by how your clothes fit and your measurements rather than the scale, because muscle weighs more than fat, blah blah blah. But I understand your frustration because I feel the same way!
ReplyDeleteSee thats what threw me: my work uniform (which I wear every day so is my best tool to judge by) has been slightly looser lately. But man-o-man I want that number to go down. Even 3lbs...just down!
ReplyDeleteSee, it's not a doctors scale.. you don't know how precise your previous scale is, this person's scale, did you weigh at the same times during the day, etc. Seriously, you could be down 10lbs on your scale! (As long as the numbers go down on the same scale when you weigh yourself at the same time of day, wearing teh same thing -nakkid!) right?
