Yeah, counting days I've worked out is getting to be too tedious.

One step up
WATP: 3 Miles
I stepped it up to 3 miles today!
And it was easy. (I use the term "easy" as a relative term)
It went by quickly.
Thats a total of 10 miles completed since I started this last Monday. My goal is 40 miles....30 to go!

Silly limbs falling asleep
Day 5: WATP 1 mile
Day 6: WATP 2 miles
Today I planned to be the day I bump it up to 3 miles. However it would appear that walking today is a challenge.
Last night at work I stood up off my chair, realized my leg was sort of asleep, went to take one step and had nothing to stand on. I didn't realize my leg was THAT asleep. I rolled my ankle, which seems to be fine, but the side of my left foot is super sore. Since I have to be on my feet for 8hrs tonight at work I decided to skip the walking this morning and give my foot a day to sort itself out. I'll pick it back up tomorrow. Assuming my foot is feeling better I'll go for the 3miles tomorrow.

Brown Rice Pasta - not for the faint of heart
So, in attempt to satisfy my love for pasta I decided to try brown rice pasta last night.
As soon as the stuff hit the water I wasn't so sure.
The water almost instantly went slimey. And cloudy, unlike with regular pasta.
It takes slightly longer to cook than the regular stuff.
If you were wondering, the packaging lied: the texture is NOTHING like regular pasta. Its rubbery. And its bland. Very bland. Because I don't like salt I don't use it when cooking.
I still have half a package left, which I will finish but will not buy this stuff again.
Day 4: WATP - 1 mile
I am very sore this morning after doing the first round of 30 Day Shred yesterday. I considered taking today off however I don't want soreness to be an excuse to take a day off, thats a habit I don't want to start otherwise I'll never workout. So I did a mile this morning and will shoot for two tomorrow. Saturday will be my day off.
Four days in a row is more than I've ever done consecutively. Yay me!

The Journey Starts Now
This year I turn 30.
I have decided I do not want to turn 30 as an overweight, lazy couch potato.
I have decided to become a more wonderful, amazing me.
That journey started on Monday. I realize it will be a slow journey. But its a journey that is mine and I will make it through how I am meant to make it through.
Day 1: Walking Away The Pounds DVD - walked 2 miles, 20mins
Day 2: Walking Away The Pounds - walked 2 miles, 20mins
Day 3: Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred - completed first 20min circuit of three.
20mins may not seem like a long time, however 20mins is more than I was doing before Monday. Before Monday I spent the bulk of my free time with my butt parked on the couch. 20mins of moving and getting my heart rate up is better than not doing anything. Like I said, it is my journey and I will get through it how I am meant to.
This blog is meant as a tool for me to track my progress and will hopefully remain a positive environment.
Here's to a wonderful, amazing me!
